Our story in Milestones

Founded in 1989 in Frenaros Industrial Area, Cyprus, as “G&N Ioannou (Michanourgia) Ltd”, Steel Engineering started as a 15-employee steel workshop.

Within just few years, the company grew up to 30 -45 employees and the working capacity that allowed it to manufacture and build light steel structures.

The first owned factory of 4000m² is built in Frenaros Industrial Area, Famagusta, Cyprus.

G&N Ioannou (Michanourgia) Ltd bought robotic machine for formation trapezoidal profiles.

Sandwich Panel Line Machine for production of rock wool sandwich panels was bought.

1. A new owned factory within the two floor offices of 4750m² covered area was built in Frenaros Industrial Zone, Famagusta, Cyprus next to the other factory.
2. G&N Ioannou (Michanourgia) Ltd bought CNC controlled production machine the V600. The V600 is a drilling system for profiles witch processes universal beams and columns, flats, angles, square tubes, channels & composites profiles or frames automatically with the desired for pattern.
3. Also, we bought automatic shot blasting conveyor machine for steel profiles and steel plates to clean the steel surface before it is painted or welded. Shot blasting removes any metal oxide, mill scale and other contaminants from steel surface, which is necessary for a reliant adhesion of a primer or paint afterwards.
4. Furthermore, we bought 5 bridge cranes and electric hoist (5 Ton each).

In response to the rising demands for super-seized steel structures, G&N Ioannou (Michanourgia) Ltd expands its facilities land area, which includes open yard and heavy fabrication areas, covered and open yard paint shops and storage areas.

Robotic machine for production of rock wool sandwich panels was bought.

G&N Ioannou (Michanourgia) Ltd bought CNC plasma cutting Machine.

Procurement with second CNC Plasma Cutting Machine.

Facilities expand, a factory that built in 2006 is now 9545 m².

1. G&N Ioannou (Michanourgia) Ltd bought CNC Copy Line Robotic Cutting machine for 4 sided profile.
2. CNC Laser Cutting System (Messer) was procured.

G&N Ioannou (Michanourgia) Ltd bought CNC Robot Welding System – KUKA for weld steel beams, steel columns, flat bars etc.
